Five New WhatsApp features were introduced in 2022.
In 2022, WhatsApp introduced several new privacy features, tools for groups, and capabilities for exchanging the calling and messaging experience to enhance the user experience further. The best ones are listed below.
Every day, millions of people use WhatsApp. In fact, the CEO of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, stated in the most recent report that during the FIFA World Cup final, WhatsApp hit a record 25 million messages every second. This year, the instant messaging platform introduced a number of new privacy features, tools for groups, and options for exchanging the calling and messaging experience in an effort to enhance the user experience further. However, WhatsApp released 5 features in 2022 that have made my life more manageable than before.
Conceal your online status:
I have been waiting for WhatsApp to add this feature for a long time. My job, parents, and even my lover can’t see my internet activity since, as the name implies, I can hide it from them. Nothing could be better than the activated feature, which prevents anyone from knowing when you are online. When I intended to ignore someone’s message in the past, I would not open it, but because my online status would display, they assumed I was ignoring them. Hide your online status right now because it’s so simple thanks to the launch of hiding online status. Your contacts won’t actually be aware of your online status.
Message reaction:
I despise text messaging. I am more of a caller, which I am sure many people dislike, but I enjoy. So one of the functions that I use on a regular basis is message reaction. This is especially useful when I don’t want to extend the chat; I simply respond to the last message and the conversation ends there. It also comes in handy when you simply dislike what the other person is saying; all you have to do is respond with a thumbs-up emoji. The message reaction feature also adds to the enjoyment of group chat interactions. Previously, WhatsApp restricted the use of emoticons, but now users can react to any emoji they desire. As a result, this is without a doubt one of the nicest things WhatsApp has released this year.
Send Yourself a Message:
Yes, that is accurate. There is now a “message yourself” option on WhatsApp. Although many people might consider it to be pointless, I do not. Since I previously had to utilize the iOS Notes app, the functionality allows you to write notes on crucial items. I can now easily WhatsApp-pin everything that is crucial to me. It also gets simpler for me to keep track of the to-dos because I use the app frequently.
Fresh Avatars:
Although they are not the most attractive avatars available, WhatsApp lets you build your own, and they serve the intended purpose. I typically use stickers or gifs to communicate. Finally, avatars. There are limited avatar choices that do, in my opinion, leave room for improvement, and WhatsApp could include more entertaining features to make talks more upbeat and engaging.
Leave groups alone:
Finally, “leave groups secretly” is a modest but useful function that WhatsApp introduced this year. As of right now, WhatsApp no longer notifies group members when a member leaves the group. You can now choose to leave the group secretly, preventing others from finding out. I have belonged to a number of inactive groups that I wanted to leave but refrained from doing so out of possible rudeness. But since the introduction of the new “leave groups secretly” feature, I have been able to easily quit such undesirable groups without anyone knowing.
